The JWZ-EBM series (Models 520, 650, 850) is a robust line of automatic extrusion blow molding machines designed for continuous production of hollow plastic parts – from small bottles to large industrial containers. With screw diameters ranging from 75/80 mm to 90/100 mm, clamping force of 120–300 kN, and plasticizing capacity up to 180 kg/h, these machines provide consistent output for medium-to-high volume manufacturers.
The three models target different product size ranges. All models feature a 25:1 L/D ratio and a screw speed range of 25–75 r/min, ensuring good melt homogeneity.

All models feature dual platen movement (2×100 mm or 2×120 mm opening stroke) for simultaneous production of two cavities – ideal for small-to-medium bottles or paired handles.
2.1 High Plasticizing Efficiency without Overheating
Maximum plasticizing rate (up to 180 kg/h) is achieved at moderate screw speeds (≤75 r/min). This prevents polymer degradation, especially for heat-sensitive materials like PETG or multi-layer regrind.
2.2 Robust Clamping System
Clamping force range: 120 kN to 300 kN. Direct hydraulic clamping ensures flash-free large parisons. For the JWZ-EBM-850 (300 kN), flash is less than 0.2 mm even for 20L containers with 4 mm wall thickness.
2.3 Large Mold Size Flexibility
Maximum mold dimensions (750×400 mm for Model 850) allow production of tall and wide containers. The 2×120 mm opening stroke provides ample space for complex undercuts or handle-insertion tools.
2.4 Energy-Efficient Screw Design
The 25:1 L/D ratio combined with a grooved feed section (stepped diameters 75/80, 80/90, 90/100 mm) reduces energy consumption by about 12% per kg compared to conventional 20:1 screws, according to internal tests.
2.5 Fully Automatic Operation
PLC-controlled parison programming, automatic flash trimming, and optional take-out robots reduce labor costs. One operator can monitor three machines.
Each JWZ-EBM machine undergoes a 5-stage quality control process before shipment. These tests are directly linked to the parameters in your specification sheet.
Stage 1 – Component Inspection
Screw & Barrel: Material hardness (HRC 58–62), surface roughness ≤0.4 µm. Verified for diameters 75/80, 80/90, 90/100 mm.
Heater bands: Uniform temperature distribution across barrel zones (±2°C).
Stage 2 – No-Load Functional Test
Run the machine at maximum screw speed (75 r/min) for 4 hours. Check vibration (≤3.5 mm/s) and noise (≤78 dB). All models must pass.
Stage 3 – Plasticizing Capacity Test (Actual Material)
Using HDPE (MFI 0.35 g/10min @190°C/2.16kg):
JWZ-EBM-520: target 110 kg/h ±3% → verified.
JWZ-EBM-650: target 130 kg/h ±3%.
JWZ-EBM-850: target 170 kg/h ±3%.
*Real case: During a factory acceptance test for a German customer, a JWZ-EBM-650 achieved 137 kg/h continuously for 4 hours – 2% above specification.*
Stage 4 – Clamping Force and Mold Alignment Test
Measure clamping force using force sensors at the four tie-bar positions. Maximum deviation ≤3%.
Example: JWZ-EBM-850 set to 300 kN – actual readings: 298, 301, 299, 302 kN.
Mold parallelism check: ≤0.08 mm over 400 mm width.
Stage 5 – Production Endurance Test
Run for 8 hours using a customer-supplied mold (e.g., 2L round bottle). Check:
Wall thickness variation (≤0.15 mm)
Flash thickness (≤0.3 mm)
Cycle time consistency (±0.2 seconds)
*Sample report: A JWZ-EBM-520 producing 500ml oval bottles maintained a 9.2-second cycle over 5,000 cycles with a reject rate of only 0.1%.*
All results are recorded in the test certificate provided with the machine.

Q1: What is the maximum container volume I can produce with these machines?
A: Depends on mold design and material. Practical guidelines based on actual installations:
JWZ-EBM-520: up to 1.5L (single cavity) or 0.8L (dual cavity)
JWZ-EBM-650: up to 8L (single cavity) or 5L (dual cavity)
JWZ-EBM-850: up to 20L (single cavity) or 12L (dual cavity)
*Example: A customer in Kenya produces 18L square pails on a JWZ-EBM-850 using a single-cavity mold with a cycle time of 28 seconds.
Q2: Can the machines produce multi-layer bottles (e.g., with barrier layers)?
A: The standard machine is a single extruder. For 3-layer or 5-layer (e.g., EVOH barrier), we offer a co-extrusion adapter (optional). The 25:1 L/D screw works well with EVOH/PE combinations. Contact us for a custom quote.
Q3: What is the typical energy consumption?
A: Measured under full load (maximum plasticizing capacity):
JWZ-EBM-520: ≈18–22 kW/h
JWZ-EBM-650: ≈26–30 kW/h
JWZ-EBM-850: ≈34–38 kW/h
*Real data from a Spanish customer running a Model 650 at 130 kg/h: average 28.6 kW/h.*
Q4: How often do the screw and barrel need to be replaced?
A: With proper maintenance (regular cleaning and using a grinder filter for regrind), the bimetallic barrel and nitrided screw last 12,000–15,000 hours. For 5-day, 24/7 operation, that is approximately 3 years. We provide spare parts with 1-week lead time.
Q5: What does "opening stroke 2×100 mm" specifically mean?
A: It means the machine has two moving platens (independent or linked). Each platen has a stroke of 100 mm (Model 520) or 120 mm (Models 650/850). This allows you to run two different molds simultaneously (e.g., a 500ml bottle and a 1L bottle) or two identical molds for double output.
Q6: Do you provide remote troubleshooting?
A: Yes. All machines are equipped with a remote access module (optional). Our engineers can log into the PLC to adjust parison programs, check temperatures, or diagnose alarms. Response time <4 hours (global).
Q7: What is the recommended ambient temperature for stable operation?
A: 10–40°C. Below 10°C, the hydraulic oil requires preheating. Above 40°C, ensure adequate ventilation. A customer in Dubai installed an air-conditioned cabinet for their JWZ-EBM-850 – we saw a 2% reduction in seal wear after two years.
