The JWP/JWS Series PET Sheet Extrusion Lines are designed for continuous, high-output processing of polyester materials such as APET, PETG, and CPET. The series includes four models: JWP75-1000, JWP85-1300, JWP95-1300, and JWS150-1300, covering sheet widths from 800 mm to 1050 mm and thicknesses from 0.15–1.5 mm, with single-machine maximum extrusion output ranging from 400 kg/h up to 1200 kg/h.
Our extrusion lines are suitable for APET, PETG, and CPET materials – the three most common polyester grades used in rigid packaging.
Typical end products:
Food packaging: Clear hinged containers, blister trays, salad bowls, cake lids
Medical packaging: Sterile blister packs for pharmaceuticals and devices
Electronics trays: Anti-static PETG trays for IC chips, hard drives
Industrial thermoforming: Heavy-gauge sheet products (0.15–1.5 mm thickness)
Real case – German food container manufacturer
A German company replaced its old single-screw line with our JWP85-1300 model. They use APET to produce berry containers with a width of 1050 mm and thickness of 0.35 mm at an output of 750 kg/h (within the 700–800 kg/h range). Results: material waste reduced by 18%, and 72 hours of continuous production without screw degradation issues.

Why customers choose these lines:
Wide thickness range (0.15–1.5 mm) – One machine handles both film and rigid sheet, no need for two separate lines.
High output stability – e.g., JWP95 achieves up to 1200 kg/h APET at 1050 mm width, enough to feed three high-speed thermoformers simultaneously.
Material flexibility – Switch between APET (amorphous), PETG (glycol-modified, high clarity) and CPET (crystalline, for ovenable trays) without changing screw geometry. The grooved feed section and barrier screw design handle IV (intrinsic viscosity) variations from 0.72 to 0.85 dL/g.
Energy-efficient drive – The JWS150 adopts a low-shear, high-torque design, reducing energy consumption by 12–15% compared to conventional single-screw extruders at the same output (800–1000 kg/h).
Each line undergoes a 4-stage quality assurance process – both during manufacturing and after installation at your site.
Stage 1: Raw material & component inspection
Screw and barrel: 100% dimensional check (L/D ratio, chrome layer thickness ≥0.08 mm)
Heaters and thermocouples: ±1°C accuracy test for all zones
Stage 2: In-process inspection
Extruder no-load test: Run at 80% of max screw speed for 8 hours, monitor vibration (<1.5 mm/s)
Die flatness: T – die lip measured by laser, ensuring deviation ≤0.02 mm over 1050 mm width – critical for sheet thickness uniformity.
Stage 3: Pre – shipment Factory Acceptance Test (FAT)
Using your material (e.g., APET pellets), we run a 4 – hour continuous production and measure:
Thickness tolerance: ≤±3% across entire width (e.g., target 0.50 mm → actual 0.485–0.515 mm)
Output consistency: <2% fluctuation per hour
Sheet surface defects: No fish eyes, gels, or carbon spots (visual inspection under 1000 lux lighting)
Stage 4: On – site installation and commissioning
Our engineers carry out:
Thickness gauge calibration (beta ray or X – ray sensor)
Edge trim optimization – typically 3–5% of total output, via automatic centering adjustment
24 – hour trial run using your local electricity and cooling water conditions
Real QC case – US medical packaging customer
A California medical thermoforming company required thickness tolerance of ±0.01 mm for pharmaceutical blister packaging. During FAT on our JWP85-1300 line, we achieved 0.35 ±0.008 mm over 8 hours – exceeding their specification. The line was accepted and shipped within 10 working days.

Q1: Which model should I choose for producing 0.8 mm thick APET sheet, 1050 mm width, output 800 kg/h?
A: The JWP85-1300 (700–800 kg/h) is the most economical choice. If you plan to increase output to 1000 kg/h in the future, choose the JWP95-1300 (1000–1200 kg/h) and run it at 85% speed – better energy efficiency and longer screw life.
Q2: Can these lines use recycled PET (rPET)?
A: Yes – but with two considerations:
Use at least 80% virgin APET blended with 20% hot – washed rPET flake (IV >0.75 dL/g)
Install a melt filter (recommended 40–60 micron screen) to remove contaminants. Our JWS150 model comes standard with a hydraulic screen changer.
Q3: How often should the screw and barrel be replaced?
A: For APET without glass fiber: 25,000–30,000 running hours. For PETG (higher coefficient of friction): expect 18,000–20,000 hours. We offer a hardened bimetallic barrel as an upgrade – can extend life to over 40,000 hours.
Q4: What is the typical energy consumption per kg of sheet?
A: Taking the JWP85-1300 running at 750 kg/h as an example:
Extruder motor: approx. 110 kW
Heating zones: approx. 65 kW (but duty cycle only 40% after preheating)
Total: ≈ 0.28–0.32 kWh per kg of finished sheet (including haul – off and winding). This is about 15% lower than the industry average for the same width.
Q5: Do you provide training on thickness control?
A: Yes – our 3 – day on – site training includes:
Adjusting die lip bolts (manual and automatic modes)
Reading online thickness gauge profiles to correct deviations
Troubleshooting common defects (e.g., thick center, thin edges, orange peel)
Q6: What is the delivery time for a JWP95-1300 line?
A: Standard is 60–75 days from deposit to ready – for – shipment (including FAT). We keep spare barrels and screws in stock for JWP75 and JWP85 – these lines can be delivered within 40 days.
